What happens when Current Students become Graduates
27 April 2010
A brief outline of what happens when Current Students are set to Graduates on your CareerHub system.
When the user type of a student is switched from current to graduate:
- The student will receive an automated email notifying them that their account has been switched to a graduate role. This email template can be customised.
- Upon their next attempt to login, the student is sent an automated email containing a code which will allow them to specify a new password. An 'New Graduate' message is displayed on the login page to alert them of this.
- When the student has successfully entered their code on the Reset Login Details page, they will then be asked to enter a new password.
- Once they have entered in a new password and confirmed it they will be forwarded into the site. Lastly, a final automated email containing their username and newly set password will be sent to the student.
Note: If the student already has a password attached to their account, perhaps from being a graduate or prospective user earlier on, they will not receive the 'New Graduate' message when trying to login. These students must use the forgotten password option to reset their password.

If the student chooses to enter the reset login details code manually, they will be shown this dialog. Otherwise, they will be forwarded directly onto the password confirmation step below.

Once the student confirms their new password they can then continue onto the site.
